1 Chancery Lane’s new Head of Chambers, Simon Readhead QC, will be representing The Inns of Court College of Advocacy on a panel at the Annual Bar and Young Bar Conference 2017 on 4th November.
Addressing the topic ‘The Handling of Expert Witnesses: New thinking and new guidelines’ Mr Readhead will be joined by Andrew Hochhauser QC, of Essex Court Chambers.
This session will address the generic challenges facing advocates in the handling of expert evidence in all fields of work, following recent reforms in criminal and civil practice and procedure. It will concentrate on the effective management of scientific and statistical evidence. It will also reflect work in progress between the Inns of Court College of Advocacy and the Royal Statistical Society. The session will be illustrated by case studies and audience participation will be encouraged
