Nicholas is instructed in a number of commercial and chancery group actions, including advice given in relation to film and other finance and tax mitigation schemes; the non or delayed completion of residential developments in the UK and abroad and the return of deposits paid; the payment of discretionary bonuses to franchisees; the mis-selling of various financial products and property investments abroad; equity release schemes sold to expatriates in Spain, including the jurisdictional issues involved in Sherdley & Anor v. He has considerable experience of mediations and Round Table Settlement Meetings to negotiate settlements. Nicholas over recent years has developed a significant practice covering Wills, Contested Probate and matters involving the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
