Expertise
Lisa acts for police forces across all areas of civil work including malfeasance, human rights and employers’ liability matters. She was instructed as junior counsel in  the Supreme Court case of James-Bowen & Ors v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis [2018] UKSC 40.

Lisa is leading junior in the field of personal injury and has a particular expertise in acting for public bodies. She is frequently instructed in complex duty of care and vicarious liability cases. Lisa has significant experience across all areas of highways claims, employers’ liability, stress at work claims and historic sexual and physical abuse cases.

Lisa is also a leading junior in the field of clinical negligence.   She acts for claimants and defendants across all areas of clinical practice including birth injury, cancer related claims, gynaecological issues, mental health, spinal and brain damage. Lisa is also frequently instructed as junior counsel in high value and complex claims.

Lisa frequently appears in the Coroners Court. She represents a range of interested persons including families, local authorities, NHS Trusts and Mental Health Trust (including services provided within prisons), Employers and Police Authorities. She has experience of both jury and non-jury inquests.
