Recommended as a leading senior junior in his specialist fields of clinical negligence and personal injury. Angus represents doctors and dentists, and acts on behalf of NHS Trusts nationwide, as well as receiving instructions from most of the major insurers in the field. He acts for a number of local authorities across the country on personal injury matters, with a particular speciality in claims involving highways and in tree claims. Angus appeared as junior counsel in Eagle v Chambers, which remains a seminal case on the quantum of complex personal injury claims and has led to more than a decade of experience in defending quantum in the highest value claims.
Angus has extensive ADR experience built up over many years, and has acted for clients in Mediations, Arbitrations and Adjudications as well as in numerous RTSMs. His advocacy skills have been demonstrated in courts ranging from the Masters’ Corridor to the Court of Appeal.
Angus has contributed to all recent editions of Jordan’s Local Authority Liability (Morrell & Foster).
