1 Chancery Lane and the Covid-19 situation

News | Tue 17th Mar, 2020

1 Chancery Lane is closely monitoring the development of the Covid-19 situation and our top priority is to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our barristers, staff, clients and all visitors to Chambers.

We are confident that we can continue to provide the quality of service which our clients rightly expect during these uncertain times.

We are fully equipped within Chambers to provide both telephone and video conferencing, so we are able to continue to hold conferences without the need for personal contact. Our approach to remote and agile working means that all our barristers and staff are already set up to work away from Chambers effectively, and we already have the IT infrastructure in place to ensure business continuity. If we are advised to close Chambers, we are confident that we can continue to provide our services without interruption.

We are regularly updating all our barristers and staff on the latest advice from the government, the Bar Council and the Law Society especially guidance relating to the operation of the courts and the potential impact of any changes to working practices and we will continue to do so.

If you have any questions or would like any further information in relation to how we are dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, please email us at clerks@1chancerylane.com or give us a call on 020 7092 2900 and we will be happy to assist.
